Irving police seek help identifying masked, armed bank robbers who may also be tied to Dallas heist

Authorities are asking for help in catching two masked armed robbers who robbed an Irving Wells Fargo bank branch Monday morning.

The bank heist occurred about 9:15 a.m. when two men entered the branch located at 1050 Mark Place. The two masked robbers, wielding handguns, ordered everyone to get on the ground.

One of the robbers jumped over the teller counter and took money from the cash drawers while maintained control of the lobby area. The thieves fled in a dark colored Dodge Durango driven by a third man.

Police believe the robbers may be the same one that carried February 9 robbery of a Bank of America on Webb Chapel Road in Dallas.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Irving police department at 972-721-2535.
