Officers in Flower Mound, Grand Prairie escape serious injury in two late-night crashes

Two police officers narrowly dodged serious injury late Wednesday in separate crashes that damaged their squad cars.

The first crash happened about 9 p.m. at Morriss and Cross Timbers roads in Flower Mound.
Three people, including the officer were injured in the four-car pileup, which totaled the officer’s car. None of their injuries were believed to be life-threatening.

The second crash came two hours later on Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie when a vehicle slammed into a squad car parked on the shoulder just west of Loop 12.
