Inspectors with the Texas Commission on Jail Standards are inside the Dallas County jails for the annual inspection.
Last year, the county jails passed after eight straight failures.

Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price said recently that he and the county jails were ready for the scrutiny.
The inspection is expected to wrap up at the end of the week.
